THE HISTORY OF HOW WE BEGAN

From a muffin…….a feast
has grown.
My journey towards this exciting concept began
with my love of tasty, nutritious food.
I was competing in triathlons, and wanted to fuel my body en route.
So I started cooking muffins, which I stuffed into the front of my shirt
before each race.
My love of food was further inspired when I began
to travel overseas frequently for work. The restaurants of Europe offered
food (and wine) that made life begin to take on a new meaning for me.
I wanted to be able to recreate these dishes for my friends and family,
so I often begged my way backstage to talk to the chef about technique.
Armed with this new knowledge, I soon found that
I was enjoying cooking at home more than dining in restaurants. I was
getting positive feedback about the meals, and I started to pass on
my love of delicious food to others.
I began to realise that with the right equipment,
and a few basic techniques, cooking could be fulfilling and fun. I wanted
to spread the word. It inspired me to my vision for the company, which
I named The Chefs Toolbox.
The Chefs Toolbox commenced business on 1st August
2003 and is now one of Australia’s fastest-growing party plan
companies.
